Stage 7 - Prerow to Stralsund

This morning we started with a small fundraising campaign. Two women asked Uwe what kind of organization we are. When he explained, the two women each donated 5 euros. Every amount helps.

The rest of the journey led us to our first destination: we had arranged to meet Sybille Schannak in Zingst. She and her husband rented a lovely vacation apartment to Linda and Philipp last year. We talked a lot about our project and even received a donation – thank you very much! It was a lovely reunion, and we're already looking forward to the next one.
Thank you Sybille for the second breakfast and the warm drinks!

The temperatures were significantly lower today than before and after a quick deliberation we decided to shorten the trip to Barth by taking the ferry to have another highlight of today's tour and to save a bit of energy. This worked out very well because when we arrived in Barth there was a strong tailwind so we could all pedal hard and cycle at an average speed of 23 km/h. The scenery was like something out of a picture book and it wasn't long before we were only 5 kilometers from Stralsund and had a view of the famous Rügen Bridge. After checking in in Stralsund we treated ourselves to a delicious fish sandwich. Later on Philipp had another highlight for Philipp - you can probably guess what it is: a new organ. At very short notice he was allowed to play the organ in St. Nicholas Church in Stralsund. The church has impressive acoustics.

Today's accommodation is sponsored by the Hotel Hiddenseer, and the catering is sponsored by the Doldenmädel restaurant. Thank you very much for this wonderful support.

Tomorrow is our shortest, but unfortunately also last stage.
Even the best times come to an end. See you tomorrow—read you soon.
