Stage 7 - Werdau (OT of Torgau) to Riesa - 50.2 kilometers

This morning, our stage to Riesa began. Andreas Führlich, chairman of the board of Sonnenstrahl eV, cycled with us for the first 40 kilometers, as it was a matter close to his heart.

We made good progress today and took a beer break in Strehla, which was really good in the heat.

In Riesa, a pothole proved fatal, causing several spokes to break. Fortunately, we quickly found a bike shop that took care of the problem. We're on the upside – it happened at the finish line and not halfway along the course.

In the evening, we made ourselves comfortable with a pizza and a cocktail at the beach bar on the Elbe and let the evening come to a close.

Tomorrow, unfortunately, is our final leg. We expect to arrive at Sonnenstrahl eV on Goetheallee between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m., where the club will be happy to welcome us.
