Stage 8 - Journey to the finish - Stralsund to Greifswald

Today we started our day with a late breakfast. After all, we didn't have many kilometers ahead of us and wanted to catch the rain that was showing on the radar. No sooner said than done. We left the city of Stralsund shortly after 10 a.m. and set off for the Hanseatic city of Greifswald. We knew that the roads wouldn't be as well-maintained today, but we hadn't expected to have to cycle 20 kilometers over cobblestones. We were a bit shaken up and very happy when we reached the paved road again. We reached Greifswald around 12 p.m. and were treated to a beautiful view of Hafenstrasse. After a refreshing shower, Uwe and Linda went for lunch, and Philipp cycled to Wieck, 5 kilometers away, where he was allowed to play the organ. He had to wait a bit there, though, as a wedding was taking place. Congratulations to the bride and groom.

Now our 2025 Heart Tour is coming to an end, and tomorrow we head home. Thank you for your excitement, for sticking with us, and of course for the numerous donations.

If you haven't donated yet but would like to, you have until September 1, 2025, to do so. The donation will be scheduled then.

Today's accommodation is sponsored by Pension Heinrich und Heinrich, and the catering is provided by Restaurant Logenhaus. Thank you for this wonderful support!
