Stage 1 - Berlin to Brandenburg an der Havel - 76.7 kilometers

Our first leg began today. After a quick photo shoot in front of our hotel, which even the concierge enjoyed, we headed past the Victory Column toward Potsdam. Of course, a photo of Bellevue Palace was a must along the way.
Having learned from previous tours, we took a short break under a bridge to avoid getting soaked by the rain. The plan worked, as we stayed dry.
We took another break in Potsdam. At the Heiligen See, we took the time to watch the penalty shootout between the women's soccer teams Australia and France.
If you are in Potsdam, you have to stop by Sanssoucci Palace.
We fortified ourselves with some delicious soft ice cream and chatted with a couple of cyclists about our campaign. They both really enjoyed the project and gave us a small donation. These are truly special, heartfelt moments during the Tour of the Heart.
On the last few kilometers, on the Havel cycle path, the sun was kind to us again.
Something very special awaited us today in Brandenburg an der Havel. Philipp admits, however, that he was probably most excited about it. Today we were able to play the largest organ in the state of Brandenburg. It is located in St. Catherine's Church. The school organ has five manuals, 96 stops, and 6,364 pipes. Strictly speaking, it's four individual organs controlled from one console. What's particularly impressive, however, is that the main organ and the choir organ can be played individually. Thanks again to Andreas Patzelt, who took the time to explain this organ to us. Linda played "Trust the New Paths" (also known as "Praise God with Confidence") on the organ. You can see it for yourself. here Anyone who is interested in learning more about the instrument can take a look at the Organ website throw.
After Philipp had finished playing the organ, we went to the Herzschlag Restaurant, which had supported us with our catering for the day. Thank you very much.
Tomorrow we have 65 kilometers to the beautiful town of Tangermünde on the agenda.
