Stage 4 - Magdeburg to Dessau - 68 kilometers

Today, we started a little later than usual again, because we wanted to wait out a thunderstorm that was just passing over Magdeburg. It was a perfect decision, otherwise we wouldn't have arrived at the finish line so dry.

Despite our late departure, we racked up the miles relatively quickly, as the bike path conditions were mostly good today. Our route took us through Schönebeck, where we were able to admire a work of art. "In 1997, the Danish artist Anders Nyborg designed a unique work of art on behalf of the Elbufer Förderverein Schönebeck eV," according to the Schönebeck website.

On the ferry in Barby, we first had a small sip of Herzenstour liqueur. On the other bank of the Elbe, we sought out Heinrich's swinging bench. Shortly before Dessau, we took another short break, and Philipp tried some acrobatic stretching exercises.

In Dessau, Philipp was once again able to play a new organ today. Many thanks to the cantor who made this possible. You can see that Philipp has a bit of an addiction to playing organs he's never heard of. Today it was another Eule instrument in St. Johannis Church in Dessau. A short video will be released tomorrow so you can get an impression of this gigantic instrument.

In the evening, Alexander Schulz and Thomas Finzel welcomed us in the Dessau Potato House , because they supported us today with catering and told us again how much they liked our project. It was a fantastic atmosphere, and we all agreed that we wouldn't see each other again. In the restaurant, an older man approached us: "I saw you two years ago. You were wearing the red clothes then, too." Once again, it shows how valuable our uniform is.

Tomorrow we have a shorter stage planned. But tomorrow is also a special day, because this evening we'll be playing our concert at Elster Church, accompanied by a camera crew. Our Heart Tour will be featured on the MDR program "Glaubwürdig" (Credible) this year. Anyone who would like to come to Elster (Elbe) can do so around 4 p.m., as there's a community café organized by the church. Our concert starts at 6 p.m. after the bells ring.

We look forward to seeing you!
