Herzenstour - FAQ
When was the project founded?
The very first benefit concert took place in 2013 for the residential home for the disabled in Heidehäuser. Philipp organized an organ concert
in the village church of Koselitz and donated the proceeds of 100.00 euros. This money was used to organize a small Christmas party,
in which everyone was allowed to participate. At that time, the project was still called "akivHelfen." Many more small concerts followed. Since 2018, the project has been dedicated exclusively to people with cancer and has since been called Herzenstour.
How much money has the Herzenstour already raised?
In total, our project (since 2017) has already donated 62,100 euros for the good cause.

Where do you stay overnight on the tours?
For each tour, we try to secure sponsors who will enable us to stay overnight. In return, they receive a positive review and a personal thank-you letter.
When are you planning the route?
We plan the route several months in advance, ensuring that we do not cover too great distances and that the
Have the opportunity to find accommodation.
How do you raise the money?
We usually write to potential donors or sponsors and present our project with the aim of helping people with cancer
We are also organizing benefit concerts during the tour and throughout the rest of the year.
Our red Herzenstour shirts, but also our Herzenstour cycling clothing provide an advertising effect and so we will also be
about our project. This has now led to several donations.
Do you also issue donation receipts?
We ourselves are not allowed to do this for legal reasons, as we are not a recognized non-profit organization, but a private initiative.
However, our donation account is a trust account, so incoming donations cannot be mixed with our personal assets. Should you require a donation receipt, one will also be issued by our respective partner organization. However, we prefer transfers to our trust account, as this provides a greater surprise for the organization when the total donation amount is received. Immediately after the official donation handover, the organization receives a list of all addresses requiring a donation receipt. This has proven successful in recent years.
